It's never to late to earn your degree!

As I continue the journey towards my short term goal of earning my degree in Substance Abuse Psychology, I have not lost focus on my long term goal of obtaining my PhD. Helping others in all types of abuse cases is an ever growing opportunity. With the uncertainty of our current times I see a great need for more people to join in this fight. If your looking to make a real difference in the lives of hurting families I highly recommend Ohio Christian University and their bible based degree programs. They are regionally accredited and the atmosphere at all their campuses is very warm and friendly. Go to www.OhioChristian.edu to see how you can benefit from a Christian Worldview Education!
Many families today are struggling to overcome the negative impact of alcoholism and drug addiction. This is more than an addicts or a families problem, it is a worldwide epidemic, killing and destroying the lives of thousands everyday. My own family has been effected by alcoholism and drug addiction for over 50 years. The brother I never met, David Marcum, who would be five years my elder was killed by a drunk driver who drove off the road and struck him when he was five years old. The family I grew up in struggles to this day, some 50 years later because of the selfish actions of a drunk driver.
Moving beyond the pain and trauma of the past and finding new confidence does not always happen overnight. Today there is new hope and a renewed vision. Finding faith in Jesus Christ and developing a plan can help those who struggle to get free from the addictions that hold them captive.

Alcohol Deaths: Sharing the Blame
Beer, wine, and liquor--despite the slick ads that link drinking to happiness and success--contribute to approximately 100,000 deaths each year, according to conservative government estimates.
The blame for alcohol-related fatalities is usually put squarely and solely on the shoulders of those who hoist the bottle to their lips. But it's not unreasonable to ascribe at least some measure of responsibility to the companies that encourage drinking, and profit from drinking.
